How to know if an OnlyFans account is real (and the link)
· Minettes VIP
The fact that orders all of this: any creator who can charge you on OnlyFans has already passed an identity verification — government ID, a selfie and a face match. Without it she can't set a price, receive payments or message you. So the fake profile is almost never inside the platform: it's outside, impersonating her on another network to get you paying where no complaint is possible. Below, how to answer the four questions people mix together: is it her, is the link real, did she delete the account or block me, and why is mine restricted?
This post is for you if you're about to pay and you don't trust it. If what worries you is the payment itself — the card, the scams, the refunds — that's in is OnlyFans safe with a credit card?.
Why a profile that can charge you is already verified
To get paid, a creator has to upload government ID and a selfie holding it, and pass a face match reviewed by the platform's team. Until that happens, her account can't set a subscription price, receive money, or use messages.
That doesn't mean she's trustworthy or that the content is what it promises. It means something narrower and more useful: behind a profile that charges you there is a person identified to the platform, and if she scams you there's someone to complain about and an account to close. That's exactly what you don't have when you pay outside.
Don't base the decision on a checkmark
You'll find plenty of guides telling you to look for the blue badge. Sources disagree on whether OnlyFans shows a public verification mark on every profile, and the one you sometimes see doesn't distinguish what matters to you. Don't build the decision there: use the checks below, which don't depend on an icon.
The four questions, and the short answer to each
| What you're asking | The short answer |
|---|---|
| Is this profile really her? | If it's inside OnlyFans and can charge you, she's identified. The risk is the profiles outside that impersonate her |
| Is this link real? | Only if the domain is exactly onlyfans.com. Anything else is phishing |
| The profile vanished: deleted, or did she block me? | If it loads for someone else and not for you, you're blocked. If it errors for everyone, she's gone |
| Why is my account restricted? | Almost always a chargeback, a failed payment or a rule violation. Retrying doesn't fix it |
How to check it's her
- Reach the profile from wherever she publishes it, not from a link someone sends you. Her verified Instagram, X or TikTok is the starting point; a link in a message, never.
- Look at the age and the history. A real profile has posts spread over time. Fakes have little, repeated, or everything uploaded the same day.
- Compare the quality. Stolen material shows: mismatched resolutions, cropped watermarks, styles that don't belong together.
- Distrust the rush. "Today only", "two spots left", "DM me and I'll send you the link". A real creator doesn't need to hurry you.
How to check a link before you open it
- Read the whole domain, right to left. What matters is what sits immediately before the first slash: it has to be
onlyfans.com.onlyfans.com.something.netis not OnlyFans, and neither isonly-fans.comoronlyfanss.com. - No shorteners for a page where you're going to log in. If you get a
bit.ly, type the address yourself. - If it asks for your username and password, stop. The way in is typing the address in your browser, not following a link. That's where accounts get stolen.
- Mind the padlock, and nothing more than the padlock. Encryption doesn't make a site legitimate: phishing pages have it too.
The same criteria applied to our own profiles are in how to check official Minettes VIP profiles.
If the profile vanished
Three different things that look the same:
- She deleted it. The profile errors for everyone. If you had an active subscription, billing stops and access is lost; it's one of the cases where the month can be claimed back.
- She blocked you. It errors for you and loads for someone else. Watch out for the reverse, which is the expensive misunderstanding: if you block her, the subscription keeps billing. You have to cancel it separately.
- She was suspended. Usually for breaking the platform's rules. Also grounds to claim the month you paid.
What can be recovered in each case is in how to cancel and when there's a refund.
If the restricted account is yours
The usual causes, by frequency: a chargeback you asked your bank for, a payment that didn't complete, or a rule violation. The first two are the most common and retrying doesn't fix them: once the bank reverses a charge, the platform treats it as fraud and the account ends up closed or limited, with that card refused from then on.
If you think it's a mistake, the route is support from the help centre in your account, with dates and amounts. Don't open a second account: that usually makes it worse.
The signal that never fails
Of all the checks, one covers 90 % of cases: if they ask you to pay outside the platform, it's a scam. A transfer, a payments app, crypto to an address they send you, a gift card. Inside, a wrongful charge can be claimed and the scammer's account gets closed. Outside, there's nothing to be done.
And if what bothers you about all this is having to trust someone in order to watch something: on Minettes VIP the catalog is our own, access is free with ads — email and legal age, no card — and there are no third-party profiles to verify. How it works, in Minettes VIP free with ads.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if an OnlyFans account is real?
If it's inside OnlyFans and can charge you, its owner passed verification with government ID and a face match. Reach the profile from a verified account of hers, never from a link sent to you in a message.
How do I know if an OnlyFans link is real?
The domain has to be exactly onlyfans.com immediately before the first slash. Variants like only-fans.com or onlyfans.com.something.net are phishing. Type the address by hand to log in.
How do I know if an OnlyFans account was deleted?
Ask someone else to open the profile. If it errors for both of you, it was deleted or suspended. If it loads for them, you're blocked.
How many fake OnlyFans accounts are there?
There's no public figure. The platform removes impersonation accounts but doesn't publish a count, and any specific number you find out there is made up.
Why is my OnlyFans account restricted?
Most commonly a chargeback or a failed payment; after that, a rule violation. You appeal to support with dates and amounts, not by opening another account.
How do I know the girl in the profile is who she says?
By the route, not the photo: arrive from her verified account, check the posting history has age and consistency, and distrust anyone who rushes you or wants to be paid privately.
